St George's House Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at St George`s House Hotel. Mark greeted us with the offer of a cream tea which was much appreciated after our cycle, and found somewhere for us to store the bikes. We had a lovely large double room which was light and airy and nicely furnished and decorated. Everything was very clean. Mark cooked us a wonderful breakfast each day and we enjoyed the fresh flowers on the tables as well as the music playing in the breakfast room. Location was fantastic, just 2 mintes walk to the seafront and to the town where there were a range of great restaurants. Wonderful stay thank you.

Mother and daughter duo stayed for a week. One of the reasons for booking here was the fact that parking was available which appears to be a bit of a rarity! We were greeted by Mark who is a genuine, friendly host and then met Dominique at breakfast. Both very warm with great knowledge of the Island and how to get around whether you have a car or are reliant on public transport. We stayed in room 8. Comfortable and spacious. Very comfy bed - slept really well. The road is quiet at night. There are lots of little touches that you don’t get in many places, water in the room, a chocolate each day, decent biscuits, well stocked tea tray, cotton wool, body wash, lotion and shampoo in the bathroom. I travel with some medical equipment and some of these need to drain and be stored in the shower which I asked to be left alone. This was respected as was my privacy in that I wasn’t asked what they were for which I appreciated. In other places my equipment has been moved and I’ve been questioned over breakfast so it was nice to not have any of this questioned! Breakfast was amazing. Mark cooks really good food. Sausages are from the local farm shop - I know this as we bumped into Mark buying them! Although we didn’t use them, there is a large residents lounge with games and books and bar which is a great feature. There is a lovely relaxed feel here and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Recently returned from a 5nt stay at this charming hotel. Made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Even though our room was quite compact & bijou it was comfortable & had everything we needed. The breakfast choice was excellent & delicious - cooked every morning by the host Mark & served by the lovely Dawn. Beautiful antique china laid on lovely table linen. The place was spotlessly clean. Must also mention the easy listening music playlist at breakfast was very pleasant too! Easy parking at the property & could walk into the town in the evening quite easily or similarly get to the beach.
