DUKE OF RICHMOND

Great hotel with everything you can expect in this category. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The swimming pool would deserve more space and a view. Glorious breakfast in the conservatory/on the terrace outside. Restaurant The Dax is fine, not great but super convenient. Dinner is also served in the conservatory. The real added value is the staff, always smiling, professional and helpful. Located on the upper hills of the city so be prepared to walk if you have no bike or car :)

We visited Guernsey with an offer on Travelzoo! Staying 4 nights at The Duke on a B&B basis. We were welcomed by lovely staff and had room 300 on the 3rd floor with a sea view. Beautiful room, and I loved that there was a seperate toilet to the bathroom! Water, biscuits etc were replenished every day. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening (with our £80 credit through Travelzoo). My husband had the beef wellington, and I ordered the sea bass. Both were delicious. We also had a crab starter. (We were also given a complimentary bottle of wine - courtesy of the Travelzoo offer). On our second day we had an afternoon tea ( again part of our Travelzoo package)! Everything was fresh and delicious! Breakfast was very good every day with cereals, fruit, cheeses, meats and fish, bread etc and a choice from the hot menu! I can recommend the omlettes! Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Had a lovely few days at the hotel. It was our first time back in 53 years since our honeymoon on the island. It did not disappoint. The staff were lovely, the food excellent and the room comfortable. The outside pool was heated and very relaxing. Will we go back - absolutely!
