Saw hotel got good reviews, so booked it. Sadly we weren't informed by the hotel of a road closure which takes you down to hotel on arrival, driving, and has been there for a while by the looks of it, and no clear re-route signs. We eventually got there and was greeted by lovely reception staff. We were given our room key..big clunky thing to start the electric. On getting to the room up the stairs, the floorboards are very creeky, no lifts, and our room was above the smoking area and directly behind the stairs and firedoor!! Room was spacious, lots of electric plugs, in weird places, no USB chargers. TV channels were limited, carpet, beige, was stained and we had a little chair to sit on and a desk. Tea/ coffee was plentiful and shower room was big and well stocked. Wife's Bed was noisy, creeky,mine was fine.
All the staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was very good. Parking was plentiful, and the gardens and pool were lovely. Bar was well stocked, prices to be expected in a hotel. Book your meals in advance, Sunday lunch saw what looked like the whole of Guernsey arrive for a lovely carvery!!
Was a few days stay which we enjoyed, but wished we had a better room as noisy, no other rooms available,and the whole reason for the break was for peace and quiet.
