Hotel was near to everything we wanted to do. Convenient restaurant next door. Room was pretty comfortable and the staff were very helpful, especially Stephanie.

The room was relatively clean. The big letdown was the pub across the road for food; we walked out of it. Curtains hung down from the windows; the place was shabby and dirty. We wanted to visit Ashford for a meal, but the write-ups were very poor in relation to city center crime rates. They even have safe shop spaces to go to, with a sign so you can get away from louts on the streets. So we went to a McDonald's which was close by.

Customer service from the check in staff was sadly lacking, no restaurant on site or nearby.
