Holiday Inn Rochester-Chatham

From start to finish to finish our stay was very pleasant. Super friendly staff, clean tidy well maintained rooms, lovely dinner, outstanding breakfast (great selection, catering for all needs). Fabulously spa facilities, such as nice treat. There was nothing the staff couldn’t/wouldn't do to help make our stay enjoyable. We were new to the area and the staff were very knowledgeable and informative as to how to get around and how close local attractions were, parking etc. Another nice touch was use of free towels and refreshments at pool side, free WiFi & parking (no hidden add-ons or extra charges like other places). Will definitely be returning and will happily recommend to family & friends.

We had a fantastic breakfast this morning with such a wonderful team looking after us. A special thank you to Janka and Karthika, who were both so warm and attentive throughout our visit. The food was fresh with plenty of choices available for the kids too — they absolutely loved their pancakes! Highly recommend.

No sign to the reception area. Walked down the stairs and was greeted by a pleasant male receptionist. Stair lift was out of order. Had seen pictures of the standard rooms which was nothing like the room we was given. Our room was tiny as was the bed. The mattress was way too bouncy. Every move jostled the other. A pillow case was inside out and had a large stain with a lumpy pillow. This was changed for us. Generally the bedding looked extremely clean. The shower floor was dirty and the water pressure was very low making the lovely fragranced shower gel a job to wash off. Disappointed with the restaurant food. Ordered a gluten free curry which arrived as clear runny liquid which was inedible. Rice was very bland and cold. Pizza was nice but no chilli oil available. Staff had no idea how to refund as normally work on reception but reduced the bill for us with their staff discount. Air con in room was good. Not sure I would book again due mainly to the size of the room
