Roebuck Inn

Despite much effort, I cannot think of anything good to say about this place. Do not waste your money here! The host is rude, particularly when you have to wake him up to open the locked breakfast room for a breakfast that was booked for a specific time! Dare not walk barefoot on the carpets, they are so filthy. A pathetic shower in a freezing en-suite does nothing for the morning mood!!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and I am amazed that Booking.com & Trip Advisor still allow bookings through their sites.

We stayed here due to its location for Ramblin’ Man at Mote Park, Maidstone. The good: The breakfast was very good. Full English, hot and plentiful. Also unlimited toast, cereals, coffee and juice. Great location close to train station. The bad: The room smelled dirty and damp. The carpet needed a good clean as it was very stained. Also left you with bits all over your feet after showering. Surfaces were grubby, but it came off easily with a wipe, so obviously not well cleaned. Cushions used as decoration on bed needed throwing out. Generally the room needs a thorough deep clean and a lick of paint. Despite this, we would give them a second chance.

Not the best of places. Only stayed for one night. Check in was fine and the room was okay. Very dated and it just felt a bit grubby. The mattress on the bed was old and quite frankly knackered. Worth spending a bit more elsewhere.
