Westbrook Lodge Guest House

Such a lovely place! Colin and Tracy were very friendly and welcoming and we loved the Harry Potter lego and decorations! It felt like going to a friend's house - I nearly took my shoes off when I walked through the front door! Nice, spacious room, mini fridge for your own stuff (very miniature!) everything was very clean, breakfast was nice. Shared bathroom I was a little worried about but even though the guest house was full, I got lucky and never had to wait to use the toilet or shower. Really nice place, near the beach and as long as you are ok with walking, you can easily walk into Margate. Also, great value for money, especially compared with other places in the area. Would definitely recommend and will be watching their famous appearance on 'The Hotel Inspector'!

We came down for a night to see Paul Weller at Dreamland, and we booked this as we’ve stayed before, so knew we would get a warm welcome and have a comfortable stay. The location is lovely, just a short walk down to the beach and about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Margate. Tracy and Colin are wonderful hosts and the rooms are spotlessly clean with everything you need. We always have a great time in Margate and look forward to coming back in the not too distant future.

I hired out this whole guesthouse with friends and family in preparation for my wedding , booking about a year ago, Tracy and Colin where so helpful and responsive leading up to the weekend trying to make sure everything went to plan. On arrival greeted with a smile as was all of the guests , we ordered a buffet and a drink which consisted of cheeses , cold meats crackers bread , followed by desserts. Everyone had plenty and there was still food left over. The bar is very reasonably priced and perfect for a few drinks before heading into town. The bar staff (Colin and Tracy ) again were polite , smiling and conversational the whole night through becoming more of a friend than an owner. On my wedding day they ordered taxis for me and 21 breakfasts all served with no issues and for a more than reasonable price. Me and my now wife returned the day after the wedding for a further 2 night stay . The room was spotless as was the whole building and you wouldn’t believe just hours before there was 20 people leaving and making their way home. The addictions of the just married banner on the door , the confetti on the bed and the little gift they left was a very cute unexpected personal touch you rarely get and one that will always live with us. We stayed in room 1 (which I have been told is the best room) The beds where comfy and extremely sizeable , the en-suite bathroom was noticeably clean , the mini fridge in the room was a useful addition alongside the fan which really did help during the heatwave. The lodge is about a 15 minute walk from the main town centre or a 5 minute taxi, the walk itself along the sea front is terrific. I have so many positives and no negatives to say about our stay in Westbrook lodge but really we cannot express enough how perfect our stay was and we look forward to returning in the future.
