Alderley Hotel

We were told on arrival someone smashed a cup in the sink, sink had a hole and couldn’t be fixed as was bank holiday weekend, it was covered with duck tape with the broken cup still there (later found out on a review this was exactly the Same 3 weeks before our stay, so he lied) there was crisps all over behind our head board, wallpaper hanging off, mould on wall & in shower.Bathroom window sill all paint chipped off & left a right mess, hairs on back of toilet.TV was cracked on corner, bedding was all bobbly, even though beds were clean i itched all night and everytime you moved bed was so creaky. The carpet was absolutely disgusting it was filthy, stank of dog, dirt, and oldness. The bannisters on the way upstairs were all sticky & filthy, carpets so old & dirty. The only nice place was the bar and restaurant part. This was clean, and the rest of the place was absolutely shocking. We stayed in room 7, a family room, and I must say, “One of the worst places I’ve stayed in, i am giving my honest review as I was fooled by the pictures and other reviews. I don’t know how anyone could say this place was lovely because believe me, it wasn’t. It is in need of a good scrub, paint, update, and new carpets. I don’t think the room was cleaned, just fresh bedding on. Would I return definitely not. The only positive thing was lovely staff and a nice breakfast.

We had a fab weekend, the guy was super friendly , the lady doing breakfast verry friendly Guy offered me the room I wanted , was verry nice, its a far way out if ya not verry good at walking but tram stop over the road£5 per adult ride all day if ya like We loved it

Lovely wee BB good for families the host was fantastic carrying our suitcases and moving his car so we could park out front instead of his private parking round back went right out his way to make sure we had everything we needed this is our new place to stay when we come down to Blackpool the breakfast was big English breakfast that was lovely it was a good spot very quiet if your a family heading down beds were super comfy great sleep we had but it’s the host that makes his wee hotel fab as he chats away like hes a good friend you don’t get many hosts like him 🥳
