We were a group of 8 on a golf break and we were treated like second class citizens. Not allowed to eat in the hotel restaurant only in the pub. We had to preorder the meal in the morning and was given a set time to eat.
The table each day was set for 6 not 8.
The meals arrived over one hour later than the set time, after repeated requests
The fish was hard to find in burnt batter on one side undercooked on the other. Chips lukewarm. Curry tasted like the sauce was straight out of a jar with lumpy rice.
Deserts were brought out after a long time when the plates of the mainly untouched mains were still on the table
Breakfast choice was full English , not allowed to just have beans and egg, was told had to order the full breakfast and leave the bits you did not want. Bacon dreadful, cheap sausage. One of our party was gluten free, the staff were so unsure of what she could eat that she had to go to Starbucks .
The staff were apologetic but they had to follow rules and were not able to meet customer requests
