Stayed here with my son for a short break. Arrived mid-afternoon, a note on the door to call a number to be let in - fair enough, you can't have any old Tom Dick and Harry walking in off the street. Got given keys (!!) to room, walking through my first impression is the carpets haven't been cleaned for a long time a musty dank smell, though to be fair it had gone in the days after. This place is in serious need of an upgrade- yes okay what do you expect for the price but having shower and bathroom doors that close properly shouldn't be that hard.
Room is basic, cupboards and cabinets not cleaned, in fact no one cleaned the room or put out anything more all the time we were there. Shower worked okay.
Breakfast is not free, I was quoted £6 each and bookable in advance. We ate out anyway and didn't have it so can't comment on that.
Location good, three family friendly pubs literally a stones throw away though a bit of a walk to either the pleasure beach or town but there are buses or the tram nearby.
For the price, if you want a basic stay for a few days then okay, but I would not want to stay there for a week.
