Worse stay in a hotel ever . We were visiting The Open and wanted an early start of the day . Surprise when breakfast time was 08.00. The breakfast was sneaky with no vegetables. Nuts berry and mostly only white bread so it was not difficult to drop it for the rest of our stay and buy fresh food in a nearby shop. The room was without ac shabby dirty . You could hardly see the sea for all the dirt on the window. There were no maintenance of the room for tree days stay . No shift of towels . We had one toalettpaper to share for to persons for tree days. The whole hotel and even the neighborhood looks very declined. The Gym are not included in your stay and are open from 08.30 to 5 pm in other words not available for the time most people could use it It was a release to check out from this hotel and in our opinion the price for staying here and what you get makes you feel that you have been robbed. Pm I have about 150 hotel nights every year but this was really something special………!!

Just back from a 3 night stay and not sure there is much positive I can say about the place. Stayed a number of years ago when it was previously a Hilton, and the experience is like night and day. Booked a partial sea view room, not sure if it's called partial due to how dirty the window is and you can only partially see out? We will start from arrival, to a car park that looks like it has seen better days in areas as well as the exterior of the building looking pretty tired. On going to reception to check in it was the most basic of experiences where we were effectively given our room key told our room number and off we were sent. Most other hotels would tell you the opening hours of bar/restaurant, other facilities etc, there was none of that, no small talk, the whole interaction felt incredibly awkward. On getting to our room the first thing that hit us was sweltering heat, the hotel doesn't have any air con. We tried opening our room window to try get some air in in sweltering high 20s temperature only to discover it couldn't be opened. Found a fan but that was pretty pointless to use as all it did was blow around the stifling hot air. The room was lacking any in room information about the hotel which 99% of places would have. Although the room seemed to pass for clean (barring the window) it looked tired and could honestly do with a refresh. We stayed for 3 nights and the room wasn't serviced at all from when we checked in which meant by the end of our stay we had an over flowing bin and had to leave a number of items on the unit to be disposed of. This seemed highly unusual as anywhere else we have stayed there has been a hanger or something where you could choose to have it serviced or not each day if it wasn't standard practise to serve all rooms. Again, nothing was mentioned of this at check in. Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable - this coupled with the stifling heat led to a very uncomfortable stay and severe lack of sleep. Towels also have seen better days, pretty small and look like they have been used 1,000 times. The checkout experience was even worse than the check in one, literally consited of 2 words from the member of staff - room number? No, how was your stay etc? Seems like the front of house could do with lessons in customer service. Could go on but we will leave it there. My advice, choose somwhere else, anywhere but here.

As previous reviews have stated, the hotel would benefit from refurbishment. However the staff with whom we had contact went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and Adam on reception deserves a special mention for his professional and helpful attitude.
