Le Papillon Hotel

The hotel is VERY BASIC INDEED. We could not get into our room until 5.30 as the Manger was not answering our calls, when he did finally arrive he was very pleasant. Unfortunately 5.30 left us very short of time to get changed, get a meal and get to our venue for 7.30. The rooms are not large at all, ours did not have any coat hangers, shower mat or hairdryer as was stated that we should have had according to the itinerary. There was no milk or tea spoons in the room and the TV was not working either. There was not a plug socket for one of the bedside lamps. The downstairs room was just that, a room like a transport cafe with paper cups for drinks and paper bowls for the meager portion of breakfast cereals ( a choice of 2) which was all that was offered for breakfast. On the good side it was ok for one night for the price.

Awful b&b Made to wait 6 hours to drop luggage off. Owner uncontactable including the emergency number. Finally let in after 6 hour wait with 2 kids & luggage. No check in, not showed to our room just handed keys & left too it. Owner then let himself into my bedroom, told me i was in the wrong room, then realised it wasn't made up so sent me back to the 1st room which id paid more for the other room. Owner then told me I was perfect & dropped my keys to the floor infront of him for me to pick up. The street is completely unkempt, smashed windows, rubbish everywhere, people shouting with balaclavas on. Had to change hotels due to not feeling safe after the Owner let himself into our room. This cost me more money & we lost a full day of our holiday. The pictures are the same as the reality and breakfast is not an option.

Excellent, most helpfully staffcouldnt of been more helpful. Even though I had to turn up late Sam met me and was very accommodating
