Savoy Hotel

I booked a "suite" for 4 nights at Brittania's Savoy Hotel in Blackpool as a treat for myself to help me recover from a heart operation. On arrival, i was informed that the lift was out of order, but someone would carry my luggage up to the second floor for me. They absolutely couldn't care less about how I would manage to climb the two flights of stairs. The first "suite" i was shown was uninhabitable because the door to the en-suite had jammed shut. The second "suite" i was taken to was absolutely disgusting. It had excrement on the toilet floor. It had damp patches and peeling wallpaper throughout. The skirting boards had ingrained dirt over them. The bed linen was dirty, and the entire "suite" was dated and cheaply furnished. I complained at Reception, but my complaint fell on deaf ears, so I was forced to leave the hotel 3 days early. While I was waiting to check out a guest with a bad back was offered an upgrade to the Grand Hotel just up the road because of the lift being inoperable. I spent £126 a night on a disgusting "suite" and despite numerous letters, emails, and phone calls to the hotel and to Brittania's head office, my complaint has been completely ignored. I am utterly repulsed by the way the Savoy Hotel has taken advantage of me because of my vulnerability due to my heart operation.

Hotel was perfectly placed outside the tram stop,we were given a fan by reception as it was the hot weekend,staff were very friendly,would highly recommend 👌

Had a wonderful stay at the Savoy Hotel, Blackpool and I’d especially like to mention Alex, the bar attendant. He was brilliant from the moment I arrived—friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service made me feel valued as a guest and helped make my stay even more enjoyable. It’s clear he takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a great experience. Thank you, Alex, for your kindness and hospitality. You’re a real credit to the hotel! Shame the bar closes early.
