The Big Blue Hotel - Blackpool Pleasure Beach

A right mess up with the room, booked an accessible room which I need after a major operation, Got a phone call the next day saying there wasnt one, and that I had to have a room with a bath with shower over. Was promised that they would find out why this had happened, emails sent by a member of staff to the duty manager, no reply, after me ringing twice. Could not have a shower for the 2 day stay. When we arrived expected the member of staff or the duty manager to find us and say sorry,... nothing. Not even a little something to say sorry. Doubt very much if we will stay here again, and have stayed at this hotel on numerous accassions, and have told family and friends to go there and they have, over the years. The bottle of wine that was in the deal was the worst we have tasted, so bought a bottle of wine with our meal which again was bang average, Customer service non existant from the member of staff and the management, There was a nice lady that I spoke to about this, and she managed to get the room as near to the reception, and dining as she could.

We are just back from two nights staying at Big Blue hotel on a deal we got from Travelzoo. What we recieved at this hotel, far exceeded the amount we paid. Lovely spacious rooms, friendly and attentive staff, a brilliant breakfast and a lovely three course meal. We had our 10 month old son with us and all the staff made a fuss of him. Having an area to lounge in the room was also an added bonus, allowing the bairn to have a crawl. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who may be visiting Blackpool.

The rooms were great as always. Clean, fresh, plenty of tea, coffee and bathroom gels and soaps. Very quiet so had great two nights sleep.Thanks
