The Doric Hotel

The Doric is a really good hotel opposite the seafront in the north of Blackpool. The hotel is very clean and all the staff are friendly. It is situated at the Cabin stop for the local buses and tram so it's very easy to get about, you can get cheap travel tickets for various time periods (1 day, 2 days etc) that covers unlimited travel on both the buses and trams, you can buy the tickets when you get on the transport. The best part of the Doric was the dining room, the food was really good, tasty, fresh and always hot. The waiting on staff were efficient and special mention to our waitresses Dawn and Una together with the restaurant supervisor Louise

Would not recommend, absolutely disgusting. Pool area needs a total renovation, mouldy high chair, broken tiles and dirty floors. We stayed in a family room, was boiling hot and full of flies. Only good thing was the location, a tram stop right outside. Teh evening entertainment was a joke, two karaoke singers.

Just returned from a weekend at this hotel ,upon arrival looked to be reasonable however the rooms very very dated the cleanliness was certainly not the best the handrails up the stairwells looked liked not been wiped for quite some time Staff very pleasant and polite good breakfast choices
