The New Royal Windsor Hotel

So up on arrival the hotel looked closed. We were informed the there was a £50 deposit fee for damage, spillage etc. Once entering our room we came to find numerous issues. Firstly the blinds for the windows were all broken, you couldn’t close them properly so of course no privacy. The bedsheets were dirty, to then find the mattress underneath was pure filth! Ceiling lights hanging out, door handle on bathroom door close to falling off, wardrobe swaying side to side. No hot water either. I mean you get what you pay for, but was a last minute thing and most hotels were fully booked for the night. I would strongly avoid the hotel

Our room ok size for family of 4 but not enough storage for 2 people never mind 4, its not decorated like the pictures on booking site, the lights are spotlights and are hanging out not properly fitted and some were blue, there was a patched up hole in the wall with a brown stain, there was no electrical socket anywhere near the kettle so we had to put it on the floor next to the window which created a trip/burn hazard, there was on 2 double sockets in the room one of which meant wires were hanging over the bed and the person sleeping in it, at the same corner not a suitable amount for a family of 4, its advertised as having air-conditioning and there definently wasn't, the room was hot, stuffy and uncomfortable as there was only 2 windows high up so not much cool air coming in the room, the toilet room if u can call it that was the size of a small cupboard it had a toilet, sink and small shower no room to dry and dress which I would expect in a family room, when a member of the family had to get dried/dressed everyone had to leave the room, tap continually dripped through the night, after flushing the toilet the cistern took an hour to fill as it dripped which created more noise and sleep disturbance, we already found it difficult to sleep due the blinds they were broken the cords were broken and the bottoms were broken so we could not open and close them properly this effected our sleep as the lights from outside would shine in and in the morning the sunlight shone and due to not having the air-conditioning we need to keep the windows open at night as it was so hot so we were also kept awake by the people and vehicles going by, the most concerning issue was when we left on holiday i always strip the beds before I leave we were extremely disgusted by the beds and bedding there was dirty brown and yellow bodily-fluid stains on the mattresses and duvets. The only upside was the dj at night

wouldn’t ever stay at this hotel again, they promised us a sea front room when we phoned, when went to the room we were overlooking bins, there were ants crawling everywhere in the room, my window was broke so i was freezing all night, the shower is like a trickle from a pipe it is that weak, otherwise room was okay size. the value wasn’t worth from what we experienced. the location isn’t quite central but hotel needs a good refirb. this hotel also allows pets stay. we only stayed a night and that night we heard screaming, banging doors and it was like the hotel were doing nothing to sort it, on the last day a dog walked straight through and weed all over the floor and the hotel payed no attention to it whatsoever. never coming back to this hotel. (ps take pics of the broken or stained stuff in the room as they sometimes check rooms before you check out to see if things are missing or broke)
