Tudor Rose Original Hotel

Not the review I was expecting to write. After,a successful trip last Oct, I rebooked this time for hubby, youngest daughter and I. The guest house is very tired and unclean. Staff drinking alcohol with guests outside being very loud after 1am!! Stay away if you any kind of cleanliness standard

Booked to stay here for three nights but left after two. I knew this was going to be a budget hotel and you get what you pay for. The room was clean enough but very dated , bed reasonably comfortable and the owner friendly and helpful. It just wasn't for us , the room was too cramped and too hot. The shower didn't work, no hot water and no water at all coming out of it at times! I didn't report it because to be honest I'm not sure it was fixable in the time we were staying! It is in a really handy location for the Pleasure Beach and South Pier so that was all fine. There is a TV but it is tiny, kettle and tea/coffee with plenty refills available and a wee hairdryer( last PAT tested in 2020!)

Awful … room wasn’t ready when we arrived as he wasn’t to hoover it before we were shown it. The lounge area needs a good clean and hoover. Owner was friendly for the 3 minutes we saw him. The room was ok but very basic. Paper thin walls, Old bedding, towels have seen better days, the bathroom was very old with mould and rust in places. Lots of flies in the room which I think was due to the garden full rubbish round the back of the property. Must have been 50+ bed bases and old mattresses out there. Would not advise using this hotel.
