Waters Edge Hotel

We stayed here a few times over 15 years ago. I was so sad to see it had closed down, It was a lovely place to stay, clean, local and the couple who run it were really nice.

After many hours searching for a hotel stay for 1 night, I came across the Waters Edge, was met on day of check in by a lovely lady and her dog. On entering hotel you could tell it had recently been painted by the smell of paint. Our room - room 5 was on the 1st floor. The room was clean, nicely decorated and definitely had a sea view. The bed was a bit too soft for me, and the pillows where huge. Took me a while to figure the shower out as it had been switched off and the switch was tucked down the side of the wardrobe. Slep rather well apart from the seagulls in the early hours. The only fault I can say is that the adjoining room decided to have a shower at 6.00 Sunday morning and Woke me up, if your looking for a cheap comfortable night in Blackpool this is fine. Book on the hotels website for a slightly cheaper rate. Would definitely stay again.

My favourite hotel in Blackpool. We visit Blackpool around 6+ times a year & this has been the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. We stayed in the family room which was on the first floor which has a double bed and a bunk bed with it’s own bathroom. The decor is modern an I think has been recently painted as there wasn’t a mark in site anywhere, the kettle was placed high up which was great as we have an 11 month old so this was a great idea. The bed was comfy and there is also a big tele in the room which we watched a film on after we had finished in the arcades. There wasn’t anywhere to park by the hotel but we found a hotel which was literally a 5 minute walk & was £13 overnight. This was by far the least stressful stay we’ve ever had in Blackpool as your in a really good location, you have the pier with the fair & arcades lots of shops & food places & also a maccies if you have fussy kids. Staff are very friendly too which is a bonus. We will definitely be returning :) thanks for a lovely stay at waters edge x
