We were really impressed with the Lancaster House Hotel. We were dropping our son off at Lancaster University and you can't really get much closer to the university than this. We had originally booked at the Premier Inn, which was the same price and the Lancaster, but cancelled it when a room became available here. We were so glad we did! The room was fantastic - so clean and well appointed and the shower was super. We were also able to take advantage of the spa after a stressful day of driving and moving our son into his accommodation. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and enjoyed both meals. The service is also very friendly.

Stayed for one night whilst dropping our lad off at Lancaster uni. Basically, all on the same/next site so can just walk to and from. Very helpful. A nice big room and an equally massive bathroom. All to a good standard. A slight oddity was no soap rack/shelf of any sort in the shower. Stood there holding the soap and had to keep putting it down on the floor. Ok - not a massive point but still seemed a bit of an oversight. Lots of bottles but no conditioner. Food in the Sandeman Bar was ok - it not brilliant. That said, service was great (both in the evening and for breakfast in the morning). They did have a large number of guests but everything seemed to move efficiently.

Upon checking in, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere and clean interior of the hotel. Our suite was fabulous as well - roomy and well furnished. Trish was super helpful in giving us directions to walking around the University.
