Very relaxing, beautiful location which will relax you and make you want to stay away from city centre hotels and get your hiking boots on. The staff are the best I have had the pleasure of spending time with, they really care about service and the customer is always a priority....Its a country hotel so dont expect the Hilton but it is quiet, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Relax and lose the world for a bit of peace. Thank you to CHRIS for his help and LAURA and NICOLA for being incredible...James, Saffron and Freya you make a hard job look easy....Thank you Big D.

I recommend you stay elsewhere. There were so many things wrong with this hotel and golf resort that I’m not even sure where to start. Many of these issues require only a simple fix; others need a major overhaul. At the very least, if the hotel staff and golf staff would communicate with each other, then with the guests, it would create a much better experience. One side seems to have no clue what the other is doing or what the open and closing times are of the facilities. We arrived at 6:45 in the evening, excited to surprise my 14 year old son with an evening round of golf (doesn’t get dark til around 10 pm). Instead, we were told at the hotel check in that we would have to speak to the pro shop in the morning (they told us 2 different opening times), as everything was closed for the night. And they weren’t sure he would be able to play in the morning either, as all the tee times might be booked. Of course, they failed to communicate this to us when we made our original booking or before we traveled from the U.S. The hotel rooms themselves were shabby, and the furnishings were seriously outdated. They put the two rooms we booked for our family at opposite ends of the corridor. And no one told us in advance that the hallways were lit only by motion detection lights, so they were really dark as we walked down. It almost felt like a scene from a horror movie. Once in the rooms, we found a towel rack in the bathroom that was so hot it burned to the touch. A little courtesy, communications, and customer service from the staff could have ameliorated much of this. Instead, hotel employees barely said “hello” or “welcome” when we first arrived or when we went into the dining room for breakfast in the morning. I feel like we’re owed a refund and an apology.
