Holiday Inn Exp Leicester-Walkers

The room and bathroom was clean and all staff were super friendly. However, the air condition was broken. I stayed on 5th (top) floor, the room was unbearably hot reaching 31 degrees C (I have a sensor with me) making sleep impossible. Fan didn't help much. Opening window generated a lot of noise from the street. Low sleep quality on all of my 3 day stay.

The hotel was fine for the price. The three stars has to do with the fact of the lack of air conditioning. We stayed here two years ago and the signs said the AC was out of order. Turn up this year and the same signs are still up, with a fan placed in the room. So clearly they do NOT ever have AC and have no intention of fixing it. Lucky for us the weather had cooled a bit but had this been a few weeks ago during the heat wave I would have been really annoyed.

Stayed overnight visiting the area at half term. Perfect pitstop for a night or 2. All areas clean and the size of room offering for 2 adults and a teenager (on a sofa bed) are generous. Bathroom design offers added privacy. Staff were excellent and very attentive. For the price we paid, £62 for 1 night including breakfast and parking for 3 people I was very impressed!
