Seven family members visited the crown hotel in bawtry last weekend for a meal, service was slow, food was very average but that in part was put down to a poor choice on my part, but being as we had some original persons from the North East with us, my choice of a the Chicken Parmo was chosen, it was a very poor imitation of the staple northern dish so I was told. Bright spot of the evening was Ruby who was superb in looking after us. We were a little difficult and she took our problems to heart and resolved matters very well.

We came back to the crown hotel to celebrate our anniversary after getting married at Bawtry hall last year. As always the food was amazing so compliments to the chef. Thank you to Ruby and Olivia for great service, they were both friendly and an asset to the team. We can never fault the service from anyone we are served by.

We called in here for breakfast,as it was advertised on a board outside. The staff we met were very friendly. We ordered 2 large Yorkshire breakfasts, a latte and a tea. They were nice but the eggs and bacon were overcooked, the rest of it was cooked perfectly. Very disappointing for the price.
