It’s the second time we’ve stayed here and we will be back. I’m disabled so had a beautiful ground floor room off the courtyard. Bed was comfy and was very spacious! We got a fab deal however it seems breakfast cannot be booked as a package but is payable at the property. The breakfast was amazing however very expensive at £19.95 EACH… £15 would be more appropriate and you should offer a package booking. I was surprised that 9am was the latest especially as this was a mini break! Suggest 9.30 at the earliest finish time.. Seems a lot of complaints but they are very minor. Dinner was lovely but again lumpy on price. We eat in all the finest places but couldn’t justify the cost. Had a really lovely stay and Grantham is a nice town We will be back soon x

Built on property originally owned by the Knights Templar, the present building was built in the 14th century. King John stayed here in a previous building in 1213 and King Edward III in 1347. King Richard III stayed in the present building in 1483 and ate in the dining room we ate in. He was there to get the Great Seal. Food was good. Service was fantastic. We recommend reservations.
