Marlin Apartments Queen Street - The City

Room was clean and spacious and I was aware of noise from underground HOWEVER there was a constant high pitched beeping (like a flat battery in smoke sensor …but it wasn’t that) sounding all the time. Reported immediately and Staff stated they were aware of it and even played me a recording of it. On day one they stated maintenance would fix it and day 2 they stated it was from another building. When on our balcony I couldn’t hear it so not convinced. It sounded all the way along the first floor corridor. A long couple of nights with not much sleep I’m afraid and nothing done about it. No option to move room. A shame but spoilt the stay. Good luck if you go.

located above tube station and entire building rattles through the night and early morning and very noisy junction of road also

We had an amazing stay! The location could not have been better—St. Paul’s Cathedral was within easy walking distance, and even Tower Bridge was walkable if you enjoy a longer stroll. The River Thames was just behind the hotel, making it perfect for a beautiful walk along the river. There were plenty of restaurants, pubs, grocery stores, and Tube stations nearby, so the connectivity and convenience were excellent. The reception staff were wonderful—very responsive, accommodating, and available almost 24/7 whenever we needed assistance. Since we stayed for eight nights, we were also offered a complimentary cleaning during our stay. The person who cleaned our accommodation did an exceptional job; everything was spotless! The only issue we experienced was with the laundry facilities. We tried two loads but could not get the dryer to work properly, and our clothes came out soaking wet. The receptionist was very helpful and genuinely tried to assist us, but unfortunately, we still could not figure it out. Clearer instructions for using the washer and dryer would be helpful. Apart from that, everything about our stay was fantastic. We absolutely loved the location, the service, and the overall experience. I would happily recommend this hotel without a second thought and would definitely stay here again.
