Thanet Hotel Annex

Positives staff ok let me park my bike free good location . Negatives blocked sink communal showers that had a flow rate like a man with a bad prostate. Double bed creaky stained pillows broken wardrobe bitten by something TV dieing . It’s a converted HMO .

We stayed in room 4, and unfortunately, the quality of the beds was appalling. One mattress had hard springs or lumps sticking out all over it, making it impossible to get comfortable. Even after swapping beds with my daughter, the second mattress was only marginally better. Had we not arrived so late in the evening, we would have asked for a refund and moved to another hotel. At £63 for a twin room, we expected basic accommodations and didn't mind the lino floors or the plastic ensuite unit. However, the bare minimum a hotel should provide is a comfortable night's sleep. On a positive note, the bed linen was fresh and clean, but unfortunately, that was the only redeeming feature of our stay.

Terrible experience, facility far below expectations. Unfortunately, the stay was extremely disappointing. The facility appears very dirty and poorly maintained, quite different from what is shown in the photographs online. Once we arrived, the reality appeared completely different from the images: the rooms seem much older, neglected, and decidedly less welcoming. The most unpleasant thing was the cleanliness, which was absolutely insufficient. The room did not give the impression at all of having been cleaned adequately, and in several places, a general lack of hygiene and maintenance was noticeable. Furthermore, the rooms gave off bad odors, making it difficult to feel at ease and, above all, to relax. The general conditions of the facility also leave much to be desired: furniture and decor appear dated and neglected, with a general feeling of decay that does not correspond in the slightest to what one would expect looking at the published photos. Another very negative aspect is the stark difference between the photographs and reality. The online images seem to present a much nicer, cleaner, and more modern facility than the one we actually found. I expected something completely different and believe the photos are at the very least not representative of the hotel's actual conditions. Overall, an absolutely unsatisfactory price-quality ratio. For the price paid, I expected at least an acceptable level of cleanliness, hygiene, and care for the rooms, which unfortunately I did not find. It was not a positive experience, and I would not choose this facility again nor would I recommend it to others. Before booking, I highly recommend reading the most recent reviews and not relying exclusively on the photographs published by the hotel.
