Westpoint Hotel

Terrible hotel, no nightstands, no closet, just a rod with 7 hangers for 4 people, no shelves, so glasses and phones were on the floor, no fridge, no air conditioning, no Wi-Fi. With very small hallways, with cockroaches and ants. The cleaning lady took some pantyliners; the most serious thing is not that she took them, but that she rummaged through my suitcase to do so.

Lets start with the positive: - The location of the hotel is good, a number of decent restaurants nearby and close to the Paddington station. - The breakfast was OK. - Someone might find the old-fashioned wibe charming. Next the negative: - No do-not-disturb signs. - No safe in the room. - Some of the reception staff bearly spoke english and most if them showed little friendlyness. - Very poor Wifi reception in the rooms. - Poor GSM reception in the basement where breakfast was served. - One of the washbasin had pushing arrangement with approximately 3 seconds of water flow per push, hot and cold water separate, no plug awailable. - Extremely small TV, too small to follow a football game lying in the bed. - The rooms are small and corridors very narrow, all in need of immediate maintenance. - Mouse traps under the beds. - Loose power outlet on the wall, possible safety hazard. - Poor matrasses. - Confusing corridoors and staircases and easy to get lost, kind of a maze. I have more negative points but I have said enough to justify my rating. Overall probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Aside from the breakfast, which was decent, our stay at this hotel was completely unacceptable. For 3 days of our stay we had no hot water whatsoever. Instead of being able to shower properly, we were forced to boil kettles of water and wash in the sink. This is not what anyone should expect when paying for a hotel. What made the situation even worse was the attitude of the staff. Despite raising the issue multiple times and asking for help, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of concern. At no point were we offered an alternative room or any meaningful solution. To make matters worse, we discovered a glue mouse trap underneath the bed. Glue traps are widely condemned for animal welfare reasons and their use raises serious questions about the hotel's health and safety standards, cleanliness, and pest control practices. Finding this hidden under a bed was shocking and completely unacceptable. The combination of poor hygiene standards, the presence of a mouse trap, no hot water for nearly half of our stay, and staff who showed no interest in resolving the situation made this one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. Customer service was non-existent, and basic guest welfare appeared to be an afterthought.
