Very bad experience. Extremely rude staff. Small room. Not worth the money.

Our experience with the hotel was not good due to a night in which we were practically unable to sleep. During the night we suffered from a noise/humming that repeated approximately every 5-10 minutes and prevented us from resting. We notified the front desk and the receptionist came to the room on three occasions. The problem is that he was alone at the front desk and had to return, so he could not stay in the room long enough to hear the noise when it occurred. What disappointed us the most, even more than the problem itself, was the subsequent response from the manager. Despite having explained what happened and having sent recordings of the noise, we were informed that no noise was found and that no compensation would be offered. We believe that the fact that the noise was not detected during a brief check does not mean it did not exist, especially when we suffered through it repeatedly during the night. In addition, we were offered a breakfast valued at £38 as a gesture of goodwill. We appreciate the gesture, but the breakfast does not compensate for a night without being able to rest. We booked a hotel room to sleep and rest before our trip, not to have breakfast. We want to highlight that the front desk staff was very kind and tried to help us within their capabilities. Our criticism refers mainly to the subsequent handling of the complaint and, especially, to the manager's response, which made us feel that our experience was being called into question. A shame, because the staff's treatment was excellent, but the way our complaint was handled made our final experience very negative.

Visited the Merit with my daughter for a birthday trip to London. Check in the guys on reception where superb and very attentive to our needs. Room 206 was a great room very quiet and very modern with a good sized bathroom and huge shower. The £100 deposit has been refunded today not like the rubbish people say about waiting two weeks. Will use everytime I’m in London Location superb MnS on the corner tube station within 30 seconds of the front door. Thanks for a great two night stay.
