BLOC Hotel Gatwick

We arrived at 4am on 2nd of September. Jay was at reception and was so friendly and helpful. The VIP room was fantastic. Spacious and the bed was so comfy. We had a view of the runway, where we ate our lunch. The beds are what we look forward to every time we stay. When we checked out on the 3rd Jay was on reception again. He was again, very friendly and offered fast track security. Wished us a great honeymoon. After our honeymoon, we landed at 5:45am. By the time we got to the bloc it was around 6:30am and our next flight was at 5pm. Jay was there again! We enquired about a room, and he told us about day rooms. He checked us in, gave us fast track security and we were soon resting in the best bed (it’s honestly like sleeping on a cloud … it’s like a warm hug!). Jay is an absolute asset to the company. It’s not often you get friendly and happy reception staff, especially at 4am. But he really was lovely.

Absolutely perfect to our needs, location to easy access to the departures area of the airport. The room was amazingly clean and presentable from the moment we went in. The shower room/bathroom was really nice too. However you did have to wipe dry everything after having a shower due to the design of the shower head location, as water splashes everywhere! but don’t let this put you off! A very pleasant sleep in a very clean well made bed having fresh linen also. All in all a very nice stay.

This Bloc hotel is a great place to stay the night before a flight from the south terminal or North terminal ( short free shuttle ) The rooms are small but functional, no noise considering your in the hustle and bustle of an airport. Beds are comfortable, staff were freindly on checking in. Would definitely stay again when flying from Gatwick. LGW
