Best Western White House

Be Aware !!! Booked through Booking.com & paid £87.50 for a single night. When I checked in was told I have to pay £50 extra? I presumed it was should you wish to put anything on your room account? NO !!! This apparently was in case you trashed the room or stole the kettle or something. They would not cancel the room & I was forced to pay it. When you book the room there is no mention of this. Obviously I didn’t trash the room or steal anything. It now takes 14 days to give you the £50 back. TOTAL SCAM. Will never stay again based on principles

Friendly helpful staff, room was clean, price is good considering the area. Only issue was the car park is to the rear and accessed via another street, had to pop in and ask where it was, staff were helpful and directed us to it
