Brunel Hotel Paddington

Arrived on the 4th May early and was able to leave luggage in storage to maximise our stay. Checked in later in the day. The receptionists were all very helpful. Room although smaller than many hotels was big enough for a few days stay. I didn't go to London to spend time in the room. It was merely a base for sight seeing and was more than adequate. It had 2 comfortable single beds, a dressing table with mirror, tea and coffee making facilities, tv, ample lighting, hairdryer, safe, hanging space and an immaculate ensuite shower room. No need to bring towels. The room was cleaned daily and was always immaculate. The walls had a few marks but nothing to complain about. The ensuite was very clean and water for shower was right temperature. There was improvements being made to the hotel while we were there but were discrete. Mornings for breakfast were held in the cosy dining room. Breakfast consisted of basics of hot and cold food eggs,cheeses, beans sausages, meats, yogurts, fresh fruit , cereals, pastries, juices tea coffee and hot chocolate. It had a great atmosphere and the staff serving were attentive and friendly. Location was close to Paddington tube and Little Venice so a great choice of eateries around the area. On leaving the hotel 8th May we were quickly checked out and again left luggage in locked storage for a whole day. For a 3 star hotel with breakfast and the amount we paid for our stay this hotel was in my opinion excellent value and would highly recommend a stay.

Clean comfortable room and beds. Twin room was small but it was everything we needed. Nice breakfast served by friendly staff. Reasonably priced considering its prime location. Thank you for your hospitality.

What they offer ad a double room is a joke. Can‘t even open the door fully let alone have space for 2 suitcases. The room is so small that you can‘t get into bed except for one side. The elevator makes a „ding“ everytime it‘s called or it stops, you will hear that in your room in the volume of a normal doorbell. The floors is creaky and your bed will shake everytime someone walks past your room in the hallway. Walls are basically nonexistent, so you can have a friendly chat with the people in the room next door. We booked the place for 5 nights but left after 1. Honestly if it isn‘t raining you‘ll probably have a better time sleeping on a bench in the nearby park.
