Hilton Garden Inn Luton North

Stayed 2 nights (3 rooms total). 2nd floor rooms were fine with the ezception of missing tv cabkes that took two trips to reception to resolve. . However first floor room on Friday night was a disaster. Occupants were awoken before 5am to contractoes scraping the floor right outside the bedroom door. Byb7am we were down in reception complaining about the nail gun noise despitr assurancesvthe night before of no early starts in the wlekend. Before 9am access to the room was partially blocked and live nail guns were left unattended in a public corridor just outside the room (a clear H&S breach). By 11am the contractor was screaming abuse and threatening guests for walking on newly laid carpet despite putting no signage out Never again. Severe lack of sleep and no care for guests. They may be cintractors but the hotel employed and remain responsible. This room shoukd never have been sold during these works with such hours being worked. The irony, they blocked the door right undet the 'quiet time sign which clearly they chose to ignore themselves, No ezcuses for this appalling series of events!! Avoid!!!

Eaxh time I gave stated they have been far more responsive and customer care focused when listening to my constructive feedback. The General Manager immediately refunded me when I explained I didn't enjoy a particular dish evzn directing that the tip I had been happy to give is refunded, they immediately agreed that displaying a picture with a double bed but only offering two single beds for a single traveller was likely to cause disappointment and have rectified this and the chef specially came from the kitchen to say that if I give him a little more notice next time he will make a dish specific to my liking even if not on the menu. I am staying there again tonight and very much looking forward to it it's the kind of welcome people should have when they return home. An excellent team and I wish them all the best. It does not cost much if you either order an Uber or get them to order a taxi so avoid taking any other taxis as I found these two modes the cheapest. The place to stay if work takes you to Luton. IHG must hold on to this excellent team with both hands! Thank you.

Excellent launch to the new Holiday Inn! Service great, ambience great and Maria our server top notch! Will come back just for Maria!
