Holiday Inn Express Heathrow T5

Great location with easy access to Heathrow and the tube and only a £3. Bus ride to Windsor. Bus 703 from Heathrow is only £1.50 to the hotel. Clean adequate rooms and good food in Dining Room also. Breakfast included with the room as well so a added bonus.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before! However, I am deeply disappointed with the front desk service this time and genuinely feel I was discriminated against.It was a very hot day, and when I arrived around 4:30 PM July 10 2026, no one was waiting, so I was served immediately. The lady (with dark blue shirt) at check-in seemed polite at first and asked what time we needed to check out. When we told her our flight was at 5:00 PM, she took the initiative to offer a late check-out at 2:00 PM. She then recommended their dinner restaurant. After listening for a bit, I politely declined, explaining that it was my friend's birthday and we had already made plans to eat outside. Her demeanor completely changed and she became very disappointed.Because of the severe heat, and since we had received a welcome drink during every previous stay (the last time being just three weeks ago), I asked her if we could have a welcome drink. She bluntly claimed that they have never offered such a service, adding that they are a budget hotel with no resources for it. I reminded her that I had received a welcome drink every other time I stayed here, including just three weeks ago, and asked why it wasn't available this time. She then told me she didn't like what I said and decided not to give me a welcome drink at all, unless I dined at the hotel restaurant tonight! This is absolutely outrageous! Worse thing happened the next day around 12:30 noon as we are still sleeping in the room preparing for the long haul flight, someone knocked our door and trying to open it even though we put on a please do not disturb sign. I hurriedly went to open the door with my only underpant! A staff told us we are supposed multi leave before twelve and when I asked he said the record did not show we are allowed late checkout. It is clear the check in staff declded to cancel our late checkout and not telling us to give us (and her colleagues) trouble! It is just ridiculous! While I already felt this hotel was slightly less convenient compared to the airport hotels, I have now decided to completely blacklist this place and will never patronize them again. Other problems of this hotel is troublesome to link up WIFI! WiFi very unstable! Very noisy at weekends until very late as a restaurant/bar just next to your room window! But most ridiculous and never encountered at any other hotel is their toilet seat could not hold itself up at least in two of their rooms and a man have to hold it or sit on it when he pee!

The housemaid Michaela was on our floor as went went for breakfast and offered to clean our room while we ate. She was polite, friendly and efficient having our room ready after we grabbed a quick bite to eat. We encountered her again later that morning and she remembered us and asked if everything was okay with her work….it was! Such a lovely lady
