Holiday Inn Express London Royal Docks

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location is one of its biggest strengths it’s just a short walk from Canning Town Station, making it incredibly easy to get around London. There are also plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and takeaway spots nearby, so finding food or picking up essentials was never an issue. The view from the hotel was absolutely beautiful, especially in the evening. The rooms are modern, stylish, and exceptionally clean. Everything was wellmaintained, and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The bathroom was spotless, and the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were honestly one of the highlights of my stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from the moment I arrived. They always greeted guests with a smile, were happy to answer any questions, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money with its convenient location, stunning views, spotless modern rooms, and outstanding service. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to London.

We only booked this hotel based on the Booking.com information in a hurry since our B&B was cancelled on short notice two days before our departure. We arrived at the hotel expecting monitored customer parking and EV loading capabilities. The parking behind the building showed CCtV cameras but did not feel comfortable. When checking in, we asked if we could park in the front which was denied with respect to blue badge parking only although there were some spaces available without the badge. Unfortunately, our car got burgled on the last night and when we requested CCTV footage of the incident we were only then informed that the camera data was only accessible with an incident code to be issued by the police. The parking lot was not monitored live. We had left our registration details electronically and on paper upon checkin. However, the hotel staff was unable or unwilling to inform us of the burglary although they had been notified by a witness before until we found out ourselves later. The manager even told us that he would personally never park his car anywhere near. This left us shocked as we had booked the hotel that advertised secure parking and we would have liked to have had this information before. The receptionist furthermore informed us that an extension of the hotel was to be developed on the carpark next year anyway. The rest of our stay was average. Our room was tidy but appeared to need some TLC. A reported blocked drain in our room could not be remedied during our stay for which we received an apology, some candy and a voucher for three drinks at the bar. The staff actively tried to find an alternative but none was available since the hotel was fully booked. The breakfast was OK for the price. Taking all this into consideration, we will not book this hotel again.
