We had a very nice time here. The rooms were clean and we slept really well, housekeeping staff are very sweet and made our stay great. Breakfast is good too.

As a professional tour guide who has been bringing international groups to London for many years, I have never experienced treatment like this. We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express Southwark many times before and always considered it a reliable hotel. This time, despite receiving written confirmation that every room would have two separate beds, several rooms had only one bed and one set of bedding. The front desk manager, Will, whom we had never met before, behaved in an absolutely unacceptable manner. Instead of helping solve the problem, he repeatedly responded with rudeness, including telling us, "If you don't like it, you can leave." In the end, we had to make up our tourists' beds ourselves because no one was willing to help. The staff continued to be dismissive rather than apologetic. This is, without question, the worst customer service we have encountered in many years of organizing tours. It seriously damaged our company's reputation in front of our clients, even though the situation was entirely the hotel's responsibility. I sincerely hope Holiday Inn management investigates Will's conduct and provides additional customer service training to the front desk staff. What happened was completely unacceptable, and unless major changes are made, we will never bring another group to this hotel.

We had an excellent stay here! Free breakfast in the mornings and filtered water every morning for our water bottles. This was a perfect location for us, just a short walk to Borough Market, the Shakespear's Globe, the Tate Modern, and Blackfriars Tube Station. Staff were kind and the area felt very safe.
