Kensington Court ApartHotel

Booked this apt for a 7 night stay because of the location and quaint pictures of the court. Do not book at #58! After pushing out the check-in time 3 times, they finally stated the original apartment didn't have water, so they were going to put us in another one and all they needed to do was put clean sheets on the beds and we would be fine. It was not fine, see pictures. In addition to the clutter and the letter on the door stating the apt was not safe, there were layers of dust and mouse droppings. We never saw the original apartment. We told them the accommodations were not acceptable and we would not be staying and asked for a refund. They seemed confused by our unwillingness to stay and said they could not give us a refund because they hadn't been paid yet and we'd have to work through the vendor we used to book the stay; we're doing that. Needless to say, we left and booked other accommodations.

This stay was an absolute nightmare – we couldn’t spend a single night at this hotel. Already at check-in we had to wait several hours without any information or apology from the staff. Everything seemed chaotic and unprofessional. When we could finally enter our room, we were struck by a biting, musty smell of mold. The air was hard to bear. The furniture was damaged, partly broken, and the entire room looked neglected. The bathroom was dirty, with obvious mold and hair in shower and sink. The kitchen was also completely dirty – sticky surfaces, old food scraps, just disgusting. The beds were an imposition: sloppy, stained and looked downright rotten. Our children panicked because they felt so uncomfortable and unsafe. It was immediately clear that we could not spend a night here. We left the hotel immediately and had to arrange another accommodation at short notice – at our own expense. This accommodation was in no way as described. Absolutely not recommended. Would have awarded 0 points - if it could.

Stayed in a newly refurbished twin bedroom apartment on first floor. Very clean fresh rooms, very helpful staff would highly recommend this hotel, extremely quiet location. We would definitely returning in the summer. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
