Don’t recommend. It’s cheap. But there is no AC. The bed has the thinnest madrass I have ever slept on. The bathroom is tiny. The walls are thin so you hear everything. There is no lift only stairs in the annex. So don’t have to heavy/big bags with you. The breakfast is not a real continental breakfast. You get to choose four items from a small list. If you want English breakfast it’s eight punds extra. So go out to a pub instead is recommended. It’s often cheaper and almost guaranteed better. The tv only have two working channels. The rest just works a couple of seconds then turns black. So no football World Cup. And the WiFi is slow.

Good for location... that's it. We were a party of three staying over the hottest bank holiday on record. Firstly, there is no lift access. If you have any issues with stairs, steer clear!! We were given the attic space, three single beds under sloping roofs, two tiny windows, a portable air-con unit that leaks and the tiniest bathroom known to man. After climbing 67 steps from reception to our room (including a non-ventilated escape staircase) we were greeted to a room hotter than the fires of hell!! After we turned the air-con on we attempted a cold shower.. zero water pressure, it literally dribbled. Went to use the sink only to find the pipework smelled of rotten eggs. Add to that no windows or ventilation in the bathroom equalling a horrific start. Beds were situated under sloping roofs and we all hit our heads at numerous points of the stay. Time for more steps because the Breakfast Room is in the basement. The 'free' breakfast is four items, selected off a paper sheet on a dining table. Of these items your drink is included (bear in mind there are no facilities in the actual room). After a gruelling day of sight seeing, then gasping for air after climbing mount everest back to the attic space, we returned to find the air-con switched off.. both small windows closed... and curtains drawn (courtesy of the housekeeping staff). We may as well have just walked through fire for fun!! If you are given room 48, demand a relocation or refund.

We stayed here for the Coldplay concert, not knowing there would also be a festival nearby. Sleeping was absolutely impossible! The rooms are tiny, outdated, and have no soundproofing at all. I was on the 4th floor and could still hear everything happening in the basement where breakfast was served, as well as all the noise from outside and inside the hotel. To make things worse, there was a group staying at the same time who spent the whole night running in and out, yelling, and hanging around on the hotel stairs. The staff did nothing about it. The beds are awful, and the so-called “breakfast” was shocking — literally just toast and jam included. If you want even one egg, you have to pay extra. Because of the noise and the terrible conditions, we left 4 nights earlier than planned. We simply needed sleep. When checking out, the receptionist admitted he understood and said the manager would contact us. Nobody ever did. We even wrote an email to explain why we left early, and still no reply. That’s not just bad service — it’s complete disregard for guests. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.
