Well I have booked from Hotels.com seeing their 4.1 rating there, but I should have checked google reviews honestly. Beware, they will charge you an upfront 100 pounds as a "deposit", and they may afterwards charge you for ludicrous staff. I have been to many hotels and this is the first time I was charged 20 for a hand towel that had some stains on it and "rendered unusuable" (which was some residue from hair dye). This is at the very least bad practice, and at worst malicious intent. And I would say management was quite rude in subsequent correspondence. You can see many past reviews that they are quite problematic in this "deposit" part, so travelers beware.

The price at the hotel was tempting. We arrived at the hotel and the lobby was very small. They let us wait until the evening without a room. When we entered the room, we realized that we were wrong. There was no place to put the suitcase. There was no place to move. The employees there entered the rooms and stole things, took pictures and said that we had caused damage, and then charged money from the credit card after weeks of vacation. A hotel of thieves.

Minimum room really minimum bathroom infamous had to enter one to exit another. Skylight ceiling impossible to sleep from the light. Too bad.
