Travelodge Stratford

Usual Travelodge facilities close to Abba Arena - Rooms basic but comfortable although very hot and needed to be able to open windows properly Ruhul provided us with a fan and set it up in room while we were out - excellent touch thank you Food was adequate and reasonably priced for London Although the hotel is easily accessible by road there are no parking facilities which makes things very difficult if you drive to it

This travelodge has no air con at all, it was probably 35 degrees inside that room and can't open the window properly either. The fans don't help. The staff is quite rude and not helpful. Had to wait for the 15 min at the reception for the check in while they were watching the England playing, the football game. obviously this is unacceptable. Don't book it, it's just a waste of money and time.

Hotel is convenient for Stratford station and DLR on Stratford High Street. Ground floor entrance and bar all lovely and staff friendly. The air con on this floor led us to believe the rest of the building would have similar climate control. Alas - no such luck. I have stayed in other Travelodge hotels around London and all had air con in the bedrooms. The fact I never had an email to tell me this was a different setup was disappointing (facilities on the app don’t list air con in any of their properties). So it was expected that Travelodge would have standardised fittings throughout their portfolio. Room was clean and bathroom was ok except for the leaking toilet and the shower head continuously dripping after being turned off . Good thing was the bar was showing the Eng v Nor match and yes there were horns from traffic on the road throughout the night. The small opening I could get from the window was the only way I could get fresh air to blow through the room. If I had been able to open it wider the room would’ve been cooled quicker. The Benson fan I had was at full capacity and struggled to provide any real comfort in the oppressive room environment. Next time - stay at the Holiday Inn a minute down the road. They have air con throughout.
