The twin room we were allocated (room 2 in basement) did not have a window so we swapped to a small double (17 on 3rd floor) which was the only alternative and whilst it was quite cramped it was better than the room initially allocated with a window and was very clean. Staff in fairness were exceptional and the continental breakfast was good. Location really good for access to various places. My only issue with the hotel was that we weren't happy with the twin room allocated initially and rather than allowing us to swap rooms (I offered to pay the difference for the available small double) I was told I would have to pay for the other room as well because I was cancelling the twin booked and I could just keep the keys to both rooms should we wish to use them. As we were only in London for one night I paid again with a view to redolving the following day but the lady on reception did not have authorisation to reimburse me for the one room and suggested I email the hotel who will look into it. After a few days I received a refund on the second room thankfully. I would definitely stay here again.

A great base for our 3 nights in London. Handy for Earl’s Court tube and situated in a nice quiet residential square. Staff very friendly and the place was spotless. More than adequate continental breakfast and the excellent air conditioning was very welcome during the recent heatwave. Room 19 was on the small side but if I returned I’d go for a larger one. Would recommend.
