Grand Plaza Apartments

Very unpleasant place. The only good thing was the location.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay, after reading some other quite negative reviews. Firstly, it is dated, yes. Carpets and furniture are worn but the apartment is well presented, impeccably clean and had everything we needed, including microwave, dishwasher, plates, cutlery etc. There is also a fridge. The two main beds are very comfortable. Our teenage sons weren’t too impressed by the sofa bed and it is definitely not suited to younger children, but we were only there 2 nights and made it work. We were very lucky to be blessed with air conditioning, as i understand it’s not in all units. Location was great. In a lovely, beautifully presented street, with a short stroll to cafes, eateries and beyond. We walked all the way back from Buckingham Palace via Hyde Park and Kensington gardens, to our stay. Staff were polite and helpful and online check in was great. All in all, a lovely little English stay for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Disappointing 2 bed apartment was very dated and grubby not like photos at all could do we refurb/refresh. Sofa bed rock hard not comfortable at all. Apartment was abit of a trek to get to lift. On the plus side great big fans in each room. Can not hear other guests. Exterior of building is beautiful. Location so good, high street 3 mins walk. 2 tube stations for easy commute around London.
