Abbey Court Hotel

extremely unhelpful hotel, not willing to change the date of a stay even when given a weeks notice and charged full price for a room that I didn't stay in. And to be honest, after reading the other reviews on here, I'm glad my meeting was cancelled and I didn't have to stay here... After the way I was treated, imagine if I'd gone to reception to state the place was uninhabitable !!

The good parts are quickest so I’ll save them for last, The rooms are tiny, two hard single beds not ideal for a couple but you wouldn’t want to share a bed when it is 30 plus degrees and no source of AC. When this was mentioned a staff member joked he could maybe get us another desk fan. The poxy fan brought mild relief so another would have actually been welcomed but sadly was never delivered. i personally slept on top of my covers with the window and curtains open. So I apologise to any who may have saw more than they asked for. The traffic is loud, London traffic and constant horns ring as you fight for every ounce of sleep. No fridge in the room so if you decided to bring back water for some comfort from the heat, they are above room temp within minutes. No iron or board so if you traveled and plan to iron your clothes good luck. We were only here for 2 sleeps and i couldn’t wait to leave. Positives. Location. And that’s it.

Old hotel. Felt smothered in the heatwave as no ventilation never mind a/c. Tiny rooms and terrible bathroom
