This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I was welcomed and my checkin was smooth. It was very hot and chose this hotel due to location, aircon and the pool. Room was a great size, but furniture is dated and needs updating. I tried to call room service but the phone in the room wasn't working. I also had this issue last time I stayed. I used my own phone to call reception and I was bounced around between people and then waited for a length of time as I think they were trying to connect me to room service. I think I was speaking to the concierge who then took my order and passed it on. Food arrived and was fine but lacked presentation. Reception offered to have someone to come and look at the phone but after a very long day I didn't want the interruption. I didn't end up using the pool.At checkout the receptionist was very despondent and seemed busy so wanted me processed and out! She barely looked at me and her last mumbled words were 'OK your done" which I presume was my checkout was complete ! As a 5 star hotel, these little things ,even just friendly reception staff, go a long way to ensuring guest wish to return to the hotel.
