Totally disappointed! However let’s start with the good. Comfortable bed, large room, great location and sound proofed rooms. Good sized closet and Bathroom. Comfy robes and towels. Concierge helpful. The bad: room not properly cleaned, bathroom sink did not drain properly, in room safe halfway broken so that it took two of us to open and close each time, elevator broken, no personal service at all, roof top bar was a complete disappointment due to service and extremely loud music. If we were not seated outside we would have left as could not hear a thing inside but the pulse of the music. Our server actually walked away while we were ordering, said she would be back, and never came back. No mention was made despite us telling the new person who came that we didn’t know if our order was put in or not. The vibe was snobby and elite and gave us a big ICK. The interior of the hotel is obviously going for a sleek, sexy vibe but it just felt like it was trying too hard. Gym was one level below ground, tiny and dark so we did not use. Lastly I don’t love being told we are getting a “city view” room when in fact you had to be standing up tall to see out of the window which was only covering the top part of the ceiling. Sitting at the little two person table there was no view. If this hotel had cost less I probably would not have given a below par review but it was deemed a high end spot and compared to other top notch 5 star hotels we have stayed in, it does not deserve the title.

ME Melia London has been a great disappointment. We booked it looking for quality, personalized attention, and comfort due to its location, but it has not met our expectations for the following reasons. 1) The hotel organizes private events without prior notice to guests (neither on its website nor upon arrival), such as a party in the STK room, next to the reception, with music at such a high volume that it did not allow us to communicate with the reception staff to complain about it. Our room was on the first floor and, in addition to hearing the music, the floor of the entire floor vibrated. The atmosphere of the party was not worthy of a 5-star hotel, as there were fights, shouting, and shoving that frightened the guests. After complaining repeatedly, we managed to get the party to end at 10 pm. 2) The next day, we were preparing to have dinner on the rooftop and were denied entry due to another private event. This clearly infuriated us because it directly affects our comfort and culinary plans. 3) For two consecutive mornings, the hot water in the shower failed, until they fixed it, thanks to the intervention of Sara from the reception staff. 4) Breakfasts are à la carte, which has the advantage of not having to get up from your chair because they serve you. However, it proved quite complicated to get them to make a hot tea after asking for it repeatedly, and one morning they forgot to bring toast and orange juice that I requested several times. Finally, I gave up. To this, one must add the scarcity of fruit on a small plate with the following pieces (literal): one strawberry cut in half; three blueberries, two small pieces of watermelon, melon, and pineapple. The best part of our experience at the hotel was the exquisite and professional service from Jezabel, who was always willing to help and concerned about our well-being. We want to highlight that thanks to her, the stay was a little more pleasant and on the day of our departure she showed us the famous rooftop, with beautiful views of the Thames and other iconic London landmarks. Thank you, Jezabel; we will always remember you, even if we never return to this hotel. Everything that happened over 5 nights was not acceptable at all and the repeated apologies from the staff who face the customers (along with a laughable 100 pound discount) is not enough to compensate for the company policy that prioritizes private events over the well-being of the guests who stay there and who, also, pay a very high price for our stay.

When traveling for work, I always stay at the ME London. The location is extremely convenient and the room as spacious and clean. The staff is always very helpful.
