This hotel exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond for me and my boyfriend. I arrived before check in on Sunday at around 11am. Despite check in not being available I was able to get ready for a concert in the health club changing rooms and leave my bags there afterwards. The health club changing rooms had everything you need including towels and hair dryers. The staff were so friendly and accommodating I genuinely have never had customer service nor an experience like this. They couldn't do enough for me to help ensure I had the best stay. I was later joined by my boyfriend and they did the same for him. After the concert we arrived back and collected our room key. We were overjoyed when entering the room as it seems we were upgraded as they left us a bottle of wine, chocolates, a teddy bear and rose petals on the bed with a welcome home sign! Its these added touches that make all the difference and we will now be stopping in this hotel every time we come to London, as well as recommending it to other people. An exceptional experience all round, thank you so much.

We booked The Dilly because we had afternoon tea at The Ritz and evening drinks nearby, so the location was ideal. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome. Every member of staff was friendly, professional, and couldn’t do enough for us. They even decorated the room for my partner’s birthday, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. That said, I want to give a fair and honest review. The hotel is advertised as five-star, but in my opinion it falls well short of that standard. Having stayed in a number of five-star hotels, I would rate this as a solid three-star hotel that’s pushing towards a four-star once the refurbishment is complete. The room was clean but dated and showing its age, with tired décor and furnishings. While the public areas are pleasant enough, they don’t have the luxury or attention to detail you’d expect from a genuine five-star hotel. The excellent staff are undoubtedly the hotel’s biggest asset and made our stay enjoyable. I understand the hotel is undergoing refurbishment, and I’d happily return once the work has been completed, as I think it has the potential to improve significantly. At the moment, though, the five-star rating feels misleading.

We would like to thank all the staff at Dilly—especially Mr. Selim—for making our trip to London truly special. Their consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming attitude made our holiday memorable. The hotel was spotless, our room was comfortable, and the surprise touches were delightful. We will certainly choose the Dilly family again for our next trip❣️
