De Vere Beaumont Estate

We stayed at the hotel for a week for both business and a little family break. Our first impression was how beautiful the hotel is, especially the historic décor. Check-in was quick and easy with no queues at reception. Finding our rooms was a bit of a maze at first, but we got there eventually! Our rooms were separated from the rest of the family, so it would have been nice if we could have been closer together. The rooms were clean, the beds were really comfortable, and we had a lovely view. The only thing I would say is that, for a four-star hotel, the toiletries were quite basic. A few extra essentials would have been a nice touch. The hotel grounds are spacious, and the kids loved playing on the trim trails. Breakfast had a great selection for both adults and children, and the cooked breakfast wasn't too greasy, which was good. We also tried the Mediterranean buffet one evening, and there was a good variety of food to choose from. I'd especially like to mention how friendly and helpful all the staff were throughout our stay. A special thank you to Pedro at The Beaumont Restaurant, who regularly checked in to make sure everything was okay and let us know we could ask if we needed anything. It really made us feel well looked after. The swimming pool was great for the kids, although it did get quite busy at times. Considering how large the hotel is, it would have been nice if the pool was a little bigger. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this gorgeous hotel. We'd happily come back again. Thank you!

Our experience - We had a pleasant stay this last weekend. The reception was inviting and quick to get us to our room which was clean with a very lovely modern bathroom ( fantastic rainforest type shower and well stocked with complimentary lotions etc ) , the bed was comfy and the bedding was thick luxurious, fans were supplied as the room didn't have air con and the window only opens six inches but we weren't too warm with the fans. Breakfast was organised but very busy in the main room ( but the others are quieter less congested ) , a great selection of traditional breakfast items along with healthy options and pastries, smoothies lots of choice. The coffee machines really weren't putting out hot coffee unfortunately but it was still nice. The hotel itself is very nice inside and stands in beautiful grounds albeit bleached by the sun i am sure it must be stunning in the cooler wetter months. Staff were great, never too much trouble especially the breakfast staff and cleaning dept, everything re stocked each morning and room made up. Our friends experience ( who's wedding we were attending and the reason we had travelled to Windsor had a truly awful experience ) . She had booked her room last September and everything was confirmed, on the eve of the wedding we had all been really busy prepping the venue and things ran on late into the evening so she emailed them to let them know she would be turning up late with her daughter and three week old grand daughter, the groom rang the hotel as well ( i witnessed and heard the conversation ) and he was assured not to worry she could check in as and when. So we arrived ten minutes previous to her and took ourselves off to bed, next morning we discovered that despite an email which they responded to and a phone call that the hotel had let the room to somebody else ( this was a large family room she had paid for ) the alternative room offered was miniscule and not fit for the purpose she had booked a large room for . I cannot believe the absolute negligence of this and to a bride on the eve of her wedding with her daughter and three week old baby , i know her well and could see she wasn't herself the next day it caused enormous stress for her and her family, unforgiveable, what a shame, very very disappointing. I thought the very snidey comment about first come first serve was really quite nasty especially as she was on the eve of her wedding, you have been warned, first come first served so don't expect to have the room you have booked if you are late arriving . A lovely hotel that lets itself down by shoddy management. I normally don't leave bad reviews even when it is bad but this was something else. My son and his girlfriend had the same room as ours and it was grand, no complaints, couldn't fault it. Seems there's a bad egg in the management team.

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. The service was fast, friendly, and very attentive. Our server made us feel very welcome. We will come back soon! Specially thanks for Pedro!
