Tower Hotel

Staff were generally helpful, very busy with tourist coaches arriving. Unfortunately & unexpectedly there is no air con in the rooms & the plumbing is totallly inadequate - needs replacement. Rooms were quite large & clean. Buffet breakfasts were average, light on selection & quality.

I recently had a weekend stay with some of my family and really can’t praise this hotel highly enough, from the warm welcome of the reception staff to the care and attention of everyone we encountered. The girls on reception (Kadie, Shannon and Holly), couldn’t have been more helpful but a special thanks to Caoimhe who went above and beyond to make this a trip so special. Caelyn in the restaurant looked after us so well each morning at breakfast and couldn’t have done more. We will definitely be back to stay in the Maldron. Thank you girls - you’re the best!!

We stayed here for one night. Great location and a nice view on the back side. Free parking if there is apace in the small garage below the hotel. Bed was slightly soft for my taste, but the pillows are good. Excellent water pressure. Walls are a bit thin; we could hear the Tav in the room next door. Tea and instant coffee provided. No fridge. We at dinner on the restaurant - not great but ok. I did get a nice salad which hit the spot - needed an alternative to fish and chips. Breakfast options were sufficient, but nothing really stood out. This should not be classified as a 4-star hotel; it's on par with a Hampton Inn.
