MERCURE LAST DROP VILLAGE

Booked a twilight experience with 2 course dinner for my sisters 60th. We arrived a little late, and asked if we could delay our meal by half hour to enjoy the spa experience, the staff member was very friendly and helpful and said it wasnt a problem. Unfortunately things went slightly downhill from there, the spa infinity pool itself overlooks the main carpark, not shown on the website and a housing estate, plus two of five of the thermal suites were out of order! None of which we were informed of prior to arriving so we had an option to either rebook a new date or cancel. The two course dinner was in the Drop Inn, which had all the atmosphere, and menu of a grungy pub, on eventually being guided to our table, we were told that the pie of the week is not included!! We decided not eat there and asked if we could book to eat in the hotel restaurant, which was much more relaxing and enjoyable, of course this was not included, but by this time we just needed to salvage something from the evening. All in all would not return to this hotel for a spa experience, but would if having a meal or drink in the main section of the hotel. I would say the staff were all very polite and friendly.

Beautiful hotel, massive room, excellent experience. The location is very good and the village is quaint. We enjoyed the food and the service.

Had a lovely overnight stay breakfast and spa the staff where all really nice and helpful the room was spacious the bathroom very modern both very clean we called to the drop inn pub for our evening meal it was delicious there is also free entertainment we had a really good night we had breakfast at the bar in the hotel as we had our dog with us the whole village was very clean and dog friendly did a couple of the short trails round the hotel which are very nice overall we all really enjoyed it well done guys! Would thoroughly recommend we will be back.
