BEST WESTERN OLD MILL HOTEL & LEISURE CLUB

Visited for our anniversary, not a very nice experience. The breakfast was disgusting, inedible. So much so that we didnt return this morning. The staff were pleasant, everything else was awful.

The location of the hotel is great but beware in a very hilly area,could not fault the atmosphere and the staff are great, rooms are dated and could do with a little TLC, cleaning could improve but on saying that they are comfy and have all you need for your stay. Very quiet location and got a good nights sleep until our last night when some guests started to go to there rooms after midnight and where banging door and putting a tv on loudly but that is down to inconsiderate attitude of some people. Overall would recommend this hotel and is great value for money and will use again in the future.

Do not stay here. My mother in law kindly booked this hotel for me and my wife as a Christmas present. It was dubbed as a ‘deluxe’ all inclusive stay but was far from it. Sadly the hotel was dirty and nothing like what the photos advertise online. I was very much looking forward to a relaxing dip in the hot tub (shown on the website), only to be told upon arrival that it had been covered up and was no longer in use. The water in the pool in the leisure club was practically green and I dread to think what the sauna and steam room looked like. The hotel then offered me a dip in their other ‘private’ hot tub for a fee of £50 for 45 minutes. Well I never. The Guinness tasted sour and foul and to get served at the bar you had to press an actual ring doorbell mounted on the beer tap. As one of the waitresses served me my dinner I asked what it was and she said she ‘thought’ it was curried cauliflower but was not sure. There were cobwebs all over. Stale water from the morning breakfast ready to be served again at dinner. Dirty toasters with crumbs all over. You may think I am hard to please but this was bad. So bad in fact that we cancelled our stay and left before even seeing our room. To give them their credit the majority of the staff were lovely and welcoming. Rob on reception was pleasant and they were understanding when we told them we would be leaving due to the hotel not reflecting what was advertised online. I really would avoid this place.
