HILTON AIRPORT

Bar and food were lovely and a really nice setting. We found some reception staff quite rude (not all, some were lovely) but it tainted our experience. Bed was hard and on the smaller side. Very clean and tidy.

We stayed at the Doubletree Hotel the night before our flight to Turkey, leaving our car in their car park for 8 days. All the staff were so helpful so when we found a couple of issues with our room on arrival and after advising them they tried to resolve the issues then moved us next door. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the kids menu met our grandson’s needs too. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus too and from Manchester airport so you don’t have to carry/pull your own luggage, but if you’re fit it’s a 5 minute walk across a main road to get there. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

I booked a room here for my wife, son and I before flying to Portugal early the following morning. When we arrived check in had been done on the Hilton Honors app but we were still given room keys upon arrival as i checked something with reception. We went to our room and a team member was delivering us an anniversary plate as I had mentioned this upon booking. That was a lovely touch and my wife was very grateful. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and all ate the same dishes! We had calamari to start and lamb shank for main course. The calamari was a generous portion and went down well. The shank normally comes with mash but was unavailable so was substituted for chips. This mattered not. The lamb was beautiful and tender as expected, had a beautiful sauce and al dente veg. The chips were nice too. We decided against desserts as all very full. If staying here eat in the restaurant, the food is lovely and fairly priced. The hotel is in an excellent location for T2 that we were flying from. We crossed the road outside and were literally where we needed to be. It took 10 minutes max. Thanks for a great stay
