Holiday Inn Express Manchester-East

Recently stated here on a business trip. Really disappointed with this hotel. Breakfast is free but this shouldn’t mean that the food standard should be poor. Tge apple juice was weak , the marmalade dispenser gave out watery and what proved to be vey bitter marmalade . The drinks dispensed from the machine was not up to the standard expected from IHG. One of our party chided the cooked breakfast and sadly this was found to be of a poor standard.subsequently we chose not up rather breakfast on the second day . I stress again, the staff were wonderful . Sadly we are unlikely to return to this hotel,

I booked for a client for 1 night and put it on my card. At checkout she was also charged altho she explained she was not supposed to be. She was also charged $20 over the invoice they had mailed me. "Manager" was extremely rude and would do nothing about it. I contacted him twice. First time he said the charge would be taken off my card in a few days. I emailed while I was speaking to him the invoice he had sent me for $180 and he said it was wrong, the charge was $202 but he would look into it. I called back 2 days later, he was still rude and told me the price was $202 even thou my invoice said otherwise. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me he was the manager right now and he had customers to take care of and had no time for me. I reminded him I was a customer and he said I have customers standing right here and I was being very rude...click...he hung up on me.

My family and I had a lovely 2 night stay This was our 3rd stay here. The location is perfect for attending the Man City Game as only less than 10 minutes in the car to the Etihad Stadium 30 min drive into Trafford Centre too. Parking is also a bonus. The rooms were clean and tidy with toiletries in the bathroom although we always bring our own. There is an Ironing board with iron which is handy if needed. Room was comfortable TV and kettle if want that wee cuppa with tea and coffee. Temperature in room great there is also a fan if the weather is hotter in summer. Had a great sleep beds were comfortable. Our stay included Free Breakfast in the morning with a selection of Hot food, cereals, pastries and fruit. Juices and Hot drinks too. The staff always go above and beyond So friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean in reception area and nice to sit and unwind there is alcoholic beverages and soft drinks also available to buy. Security spot on with entry only by the key card. Great value for money!!!! Thanks again to all staff we had a fantastic stay. We look forward to staying again soon
